Hi Gwyn,
I like 2429 a lot. It’s nice to see that you are still taking photos now that you have returned to boring old Blighty. I hope that all of your kit is still working properly after its extended world tour.
Cheery,
Jason.
Thanks Jason… fortunately, my kit returned safe and sound and is working perfectly! Doing an 18th Birthday shoot next weekend with it. I 2429 is my favourite by far. I decided to process this image as a pseudo HDR to recover some of the scene in the far distance. I like it that the frame doesn’t look too HDR processed although the grass on the right could give it away a little I suppose. I left a bit of color in the frame. The grass and sand have a hint of brown and he sky in the top left has a very slight hint of blue.
I like the photos – they capture the beach well in its current winter state well. I would like to point out that the beach and general area look a lot better in the summer!

Well… I’ll be there to photograph it! 😉 hehehe
I like the compression in the first shot a lot. Nice composition.

Agreed. 🙂 I was going to try my 70-200 but it was so cold, I could barely hold the camera for more than 2 minutes! 😉
